Behrampur: Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee asserted on Wednesday that Congressman Rahul Gandhi's car was attacked in Bihar, not the state. Nonetheless, she denounced the event and stated that the car had a shattered rear window when it arrived in the state.

As part of the "Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra," Gandhi was traveling in a car to the Malda area of West Bengal when unknown individuals threw stones at it on Wednesday, according to state Congress head Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury. Gandhi was unharmed in the incident, despite the car's back window pane breaking.
Banerjee further surmised that the incident might be a manifestation of the resentment of the people in Bihar, the state where Nitish Kumar's JD(U) left the opposition INDIA and rejoined the BJP-led NDA. The TMC chief remarked, "Nitish (Kumar) has recently teamed up with the BJP; they may have some anger."
