 Patiala's Sehra village farmers are holding demonstrations in opposition to Preneet Kaur, the BJP candidate. They are constantly making loud noises in opposition to the national government.Reports have surfaced of two farmers being injured and one farmer dying during a brawl at the same time. The farmer who has passed away is Surinderpal Singh.

Surinderpal collapsed on the floor and met his death.Surinderpal's body is currently being moved to Rajpura's government hospital. As the farmers' protests became more intense, things stay tight.

Preneet Kaur, the spouse of former Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh, became an official member of the BJP on Thursday. In February of last year, Preneet, the Patiala MP, was suspended by the Congress on charges of anti-party activity and BJP support. In attendance during Kaur's BJP induction were Sunil Jhakhar, Tarun Chugh, and Vinod Tawde, the national general secretary of the party.
