On August 25, the BJP sent a strong message to political parties in Jammu and Kashmir, stating that the central government would not stand for any election manifestos that supported terrorism, violence, or outside funding.
Senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad addressed questions regarding the impending assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, which are set for September 18, September 25, and October 1, during a press conference at the BJP headquarters.
October 4 is when the results are expected to be revealed.
"Whatever they say for the elections, there will be no compromise with the country's interests, be it Mehbooba Mufti, Farooq Abdullah or Omar Abdullah," said Prasad.
He emphasised the BJP's zero-tolerance policy on matters pertaining to national security, saying, "The Indian government will take strong action if they support terrorists, stone pelters, and people who steal money from Pakistan in their manifesto. Make it crystal obvious."
